Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project assisting those affected by Typhoon Mangkhut. The typhoon has wrecked havoc to farmlands especially in Baggao municipality and local residents are still recovering. It is good to observe that the municipal government has contributed much to the recovery effort. This reporting period, we mobilized our contacts in the area in order to build their capacity in the making of container gardens using used containers, discarded bags, bamboo and wood found in the backyard. Gardening is easy to do able to provide them with regular nutritious supply of much-needed vegetables by which they get their nutrition. Filipinos suffer from hidden hunger caused by low nutrient uptake. We were able to reach out to 210 beneficiaries this time. Aside from guidance we provided also vegetable seeds to those who have vegetable plots ready already.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
