Hello!
This is Soo-yeon Jeon from Peace Winds Korea.
I would like to share with you the news about the movie night with Turkiye children.
- Movie Night with Turkiye Children
On September 23, Peace Winds proposed the event in the small town of Hatay. This city was close with the earthquake epicenter, so they've damaged so bad. We had this movie event to make the residents who lost their home and have trauma feel better. There aren't any theaters, so everyone was excited about this event. The event was supposed to start at 7:30 pm, but the children were so excited that they gathered at 3:00 pm. Until the event started, the kids played soccer.
When the sun went down, we started distributing the tickets. We wanted them to feel the atmosphere of the theater, so we made the tickets ourselves. Not only children, but also adults enjoyed this event. Some of them were concentrating on the movie and some of them were talking to their friends while watching the movie. The children sitting next to the staff seemed to like "being together".
While trying to rebuild the city from the earthquake, it is really difficult to spend time with family and friends. It was a meaningful event to watch the movie and talk about the movie together.
Thank you for your support, we could have this event.
Peace Winds will continue to support the earthquake victims to prepare for the coming winter.
