Providing quality access to education is not just about getting children into school-it's about equipping them with the life skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to make informed decisions about their lives and future. By constructing and resourcing a new classroom at Ndatho Primary School in Nakuru County, Kenya, you'll help more than 80 waiting children access the foundational skills needed to continue with more advanced education.
Village Impact constructed Ndatho Primary School in partnership with the local government, community and our implementing partner, VICDA, in 2017. When it opened in 2018, the school welcomed 276 students. Soon, word spread about the high-quality facilities and quality of education offered, and today the school is at capacity with waiting children eager to attend school for the first time.
In partnership with community leaders, parents, local government, and YOU, Village Impact aims to change the future for children aged 6-14 in Ndatho, Kenya. Together we'll construct and resource a new classroom to accommodate 45 new students, and we'll also deliver textbooks, chalkboards, and desks and chairs for students and the teacher.
When children are educated, they develop the knowledge, confidence and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to our ever-changing world. They earn a higher income, become active participants in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families. It helps break intergenerational cycles of poverty and disadvantage, giving all people the opportunities they need to fulfill their full potential.
