Rather than constructing a physical community centre, the program has opte to work directly within schools to create safe and accessible spaces where students can learn, engage, and receive mentorship support. Through regular mentorship sessions, students are guided on important topics including leadership, self-esteem, goal setting, education, reproductive health, mental wellness, career development, and life skills.
The program also seeks to address challenges affecting vulnerable children and youth, including school dropout, early pregnancies, low self-confidence, peer pressure, and limited access to mentorship opportunities. By working closely with schools, teachers, and community leaders, the initiative ensures that students receive consistent encouragement and support within their learning environments.
During the reporting period, mentorship activities reached students across multiple schools within the target villages. Facilitators conducted interactive training sessions, group discussions, and motivational engagements designed to inspire students to remain in school and pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
Feedback from students and teachers has demonstrated positive impact, with many participants reporting improved confidence, stronger decision-making skills, increased motivation toward education, and greater awareness of personal development opportunities. Schools have also appreciated the program for creating supportive environments where students feel heard, encouraged, and empowered.
The continued implementation of this initiative reflects the importance of community-centered and school-based approaches in supporting youth development. Garden of Hope Foundation remains committed to expanding mentorship opportunities and strengthening partnerships that help young people build brighter and more sustainable futures.
