Youth During a Training.
The Community Centre Project in Homa Bay continues to make encouraging progress toward creating a permanent space where young people can learn, connect, and grow. Although the construction of the new centre is yet to begin, the project remains active and impactful through a temporary facility that is currently providing vital support to 50 young people.
The temporary centre serves as a safe and inclusive space for youth to participate in training sessions, mentorship meetings, and entrepreneurship workshops. Here, young people receive guidance on leadership, business development, and life skills, empowering them to pursue personal and professional growth even before the permanent structure is completed.
Community engagement has remained strong, with local leaders, parents, and young people actively participating in planning discussions for the new centre. The Foundation has also begun mobilizing resources and partnerships to support the next phase of construction, ensuring the centre will be sustainable and responsive to community needs once built.
Despite the limited physical space, the current setup has proven the importance and impact of having a youth hub in Homa Bay. The temporary centre has become a place of hope, collaboration, and transformation, demonstrating the urgent need for a fully equipped, permanent facility that can reach even more young people in the coming months.
