Our community centres in Nairobi and Homa Bay serve as accessible spaces where young people can learn, develop skills, receive mentorship, and connect to economic opportunities.
The centres support youth through entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, digital skills, life-skills development, mentorship, career guidance, and business support. They also provide safe spaces where young people can meet, learn from peers, access information, and receive guidance as they transition from school into employment or entrepreneurship. GoHF’s livelihoods approach connects this training with mentorship, savings and credit opportunities, and market linkages.
In Homa Bay, the community hub is currently operating from a temporary space while the permanent centre is being developed. Recent activities have included entrepreneurship and computer training, youth life-skills sessions, mentorship, scholarships, and start-up support for youth-led businesses. The planned permanent centre will expand access to a library, computer centre, skills development opportunities, and a safe space for young people.
Ultimately, the centres are designed to provide young people with a pathway from learning and mentorship to skills, employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.
