Hello GlobalGiving supporters!
Today we want you to meet Carmem. Carmem lives in Maracanaú (right outside of Fortaleza) and is studying Business Administration at the Technical School of Maracanaú. She is one of the beneficiaries of Indigenous Youth Achieving Their Dreams – in other words, your donations have made her educational aspirations possible!
The Indigenous Youth Achieving Their Dreams project has been helping Carmem with all kinds of things related to her schooling, including helping her get enrolled, furnishing school supplies, and helping pay for her school fees. Carmem is very grateful for all of the help and encouragement that the Community Mental Health Movement (MSMC) has provided her. Carmem finished high school many years ago and had been wanting to go back to school for a long time. Fortunately she found the Indigenous Youth Achieving Their Dreams project and now she is on her way to a career in business.
In Carmem’s words:
The Indigenous Youth Achieving Their Dreams project is helping me create a plan so that I can achieve my personal and professional goals. This help has been extremely important to my dream of completing technical training. Being back in school allows me to grow professionally, increase my potential, and improve my credentials – all of which will allow me to be more qualified and competitive in the Brazilian labor market.
Thank you to everyone who helped me achieve this dream!
Your support helps people like Carmem dream big and achieve those dreams. Those dreams have endless ripple effects; more professionals in the indigenous community is better for everyone, from Carmem’s family to Brazil as a whole. So thank you for making it possible.
