Background:
Many youths in Kiambu County - Kenya, have taken to drugs and alcolohol abuse as escape route from their many problems; some of them being joblessness, family wrangles, lack of education just to name a few.
As such, most of these youths have been taken to rehabilitation centres by their folks or the County Government; whichever way, they have ended in these centres.
Remedy:
As part of their exit and survival means after being rehabilitated, HiH EA plans to train 250 of them, imparting skills to them, which they can use to initiate small entreprises and therefore create jobs for themselves and their peers.
Part One:
At this point, HiH EA has so far identified two rehabilitation centres in Kiambu and negotiations for collaboration are ongoing. This would help to determine the mode of training and preferred schedules in respect to the beneficiaries as well regarding the outlined HiH EA training modules.
Progress on laying down the proper operational procedures are at an advanced stage and would soon be giving out the numbers of signed up youth and the collaborators would be named with their consent.
HiH EA is grateful for the donations and update would be advanced once the training commences.
