By Alexis Nadin | Program Associate, GlobalGiving
Thank you for your donation to “Train and link-up Chinese small-scale farmers.” Your generosity is truly appreciated.
Part of our mission at GlobalGiving is to connect donors to projects making a difference in communities around the world. We want to cut out the bureaucracy and provide you with a safe, efficient and transparent giving platform to support earth-changing ideas around the world.
We wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, your donation could not be disbursed to the intended project.
Why? Projects on GlobalGiving are required to provide us with regular progress reports. In this case, when we reached back out to the project to learn about its progress, we were informed that the project had been discontinued due to difficult circumstances on the ground.
At GlobalGiving, we know that development is complicated and circumstances in the field can change. But we also make a commitment to our donors, that their donations will be used to make a difference in the project of their choosing. You placed your trust in us to get this money to the right place, and in this instance, we have not been able to do that. So, we want to know how you would like us to direct your donation:
Either way, we’re committed to getting your money to work on high-impact projects as soon as possible.
Please reply by December 16, 2011 to let us know how you would like re-invest your donation or if you have any questions about this process or your options.
If we don’t hear from you by December 16, 2011, we’ll direct your donation to the GlobalGiving Fund and will use it to triple your impact by helping other grassroots projects raise more funds to get their earth-changing ideas started.
Thank you,
Alexis Nadin and the GlobalGiving Team
