After being now for two weeks in China i managed to meet people from the Guizhou Institute of Integrated Agriculture Development and managed to establish the contact with the Hong Kong based NGO Partnerships for Development. Both organisations have offices in Guiyang, Guizhou and have extensive work experience with small-scale farmers and the implementation of organic farming trainings. It is now the time to get into details and to sort out the implementation strategy for the next couple of month. I also visited some organic food markets in Shanghai. The variety of foods has developed and was quite impressing. Hopefully I manage to also meet Yiching Song from the Center for Chinese Agricultural Policy in Beijing at the end of this week. She has a really good overview of the Chinese organic agriculture landscape and strong networks nationally and internationally.
