A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the WAKIPA Women's Group in Moshi, Tanzania!
The women have been busy attending marketing workshops to advertise and expand their catering business. They have also been busy mentoring the girl's group - who have recently decided that they are going to get into the business of making and selling soap!
“Imagine If” is a 16 day campaign in support of African Impact Foundation’s Girl Impact gender equality projects, including this one, in Zambia, South Africa, and Tanzania. The 16 Days of Activism is an annual UN initiative for gender based violence which aligns with TGI’s 6 pillars of safety, self-confidence, income generation, education, health, and early pregnancy.
This campaign will allow us to reach our final goal for the WAKIPA Women, and support our other Girl Impact programs in Southern and Eastern Africa.
Because the women have been operating so independently and successfully, they have agreed upon a set of objectives for the end of 2019 so that once the fundraising goal has been met and the objectives have been achieved they will receive their amount of financial support from us. We are incredibly proud of them for becoming self-sustainable financially, and we will continue on this journey with them to support them in other ways! This is a huge accomplishment and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support!
Donate here to give girls and women the life they deserve, and help the WAKIPA Women be one step closer to achieving their dreams.
Thank you!
