VOTE FOR YOUUTH EMPLOYMENT WITH A DONATION

On November 7, 2016, Ghanaians will vote for a new government. By then another set of 350,000 graduates will be released onto the job market. Meanwhile, with the ongoing political campaigns hundreds of thousands of veteran unemployed youth are being drown deeper and deeper into social vices. They are ready to sell their votes to the highest bidder through fraudulent schemes.

The campaign season will see a tremendous rise in youth depression, poverty, teenage pregnancies, drug and alcohol abuse and violence. This is due to failed schemes and reckless use of ill gotten monies. Furthermore, some of these unemployed youth are enticed into rioting by unscrupulous politicians and end up locked up, wounded or dead.

Unemployment is the mother of youth poverty and so long as the number of unemployed youth continuous to grow, more youth will turn to violence, rioting, robbery and fraud to provide themselves with the bare necessities of life and then more. This is not acceptable and we, the friends and champions of the youth should find room in our hearts to extend a helping hand to stem this trend.

You and I can substantially save some of these helpless youth, especially during this campaign season. We can do so by donating any amount of money to Support 5,000 Graduates into jobs or businesses. Your donations can be one-off, monthly recurring or yearly recurring.

Due to financial constraints, we currently have only, 10 new set of job-seeking youth looking for jobs in marketing, finance, human resource manage, etc. We also have two transitional incubators – a gingko health drink start-up by Allen and a beads accessories start-up by Rafiatu, which need an estimated total of US$10,000 to really take off. Allen and Rafiatu are very determined and committed and their businesses can recruit thousands of unemployed youth in the very near, due to local demands. If we are unable to raise this amount, Allen and Rafiatu and their potential employees, they will all surely, end up on the jobless youth heap.

I am therefore appealing to all readers of this report to please Vote for Youth Employment with a Donation to this programme today. We know that there are so many things that you can do with your hard earned money, but we sincerely hope that you will find it in your heart to lift vulnerable unemployed youth out of poverty into productive and responsible lives.

We thank our past donors for all their support in the past. We are grateful to our recurrent donors who keep us going. We look forward to new donors to rekindle our fundraising. We are counting on you all.

Thank you for caring about the plight of the youth. God bless.
