2015, like any other year, has had its ups and downs. In a few days we will enter the year 2016, a new year that we hope will bring us all many peaceful and happy days. The entire Totally Youth Team wishes you and all your loved ones a belated Merry Christmas and the Happiest-Ever New Year. May all your good wishes come true.
In 2015, we operationalized two new projects to help us focus on the needs of nee ourdy alumni – Career Facilitation and Business Facilitation. This year, these two projects helped seven participants directly with several other people benefiting indirectly through the cost-savings made by these participants. These projects involves among other things, the free accommodation, free utilities and free facilities that Totally Youth extends to alumni. This additional support ensures that they save enough towards their independence (enough to pay their own rent and utilities, when they leave TY). This was made possible by your donations throughout the year. The current batch of Facilitation participants will be leaving TY in the first quarter of 2016, ready to face the world with confidence and determination, thanks to all the support you provided. We will then bring on board the next batch of needy alumni. We strongly believe that through these two projects, we will be able to build a pool of career and business alumni, who are professionally and financially stable enough to become staunch supporters of Totally Youth in due course.
Support 5000 Young Graduates is the umbrella programme for all our projects and mocro-projects and has helped support our individual and group projects. It has brought us our highest individual donations of up to US$1,000 and has the highest number of one-off and recurrent donors! We are very grateful indeed, because these statistics prove to us that we are doing something useful and worthwhile for needy unemployed youth. We trust that you will continue to partner with us throughout 2016. Meanwhile, to help us end 2015 on a successful note, we will be grateful if you can use this festive holiday season to Donate A Smile to one needy unemployed youth as the most precious New Year Gift. This will surely guarantee a job or business start-up for one unemployed youth and take her/him out of poverty.
