Women in Zimbabwe struggle to feed their children in a country ravaged by inflation and unemployment. This project will help 200 women in Zimbabwe survive; with the tools and training to generate income.
Zimbabwe is in crisis. Drought, skyrocketing unemployment and a deteriorating economy have forced many to leave the country in search of work, while rural women are left to feed their children with no source of income. Today one third of the population depends on humanitarian assistance.
This project will empower 100 women in one of the poorest countries in Africa today; giving them the tools they need to start an income generating activity. Providing (1) training in selecting, planning and managing a small business. (2) training in how to form, manage and operate a savings group (3) the trade tools needed for success. Resilient women who are driven to start an income generating activity.
The Tools Empowering Women in Zimbabwe project will not only restore the dignity and hope for the 200 families involved in the project. It will build resilient communities in a country ravaged by natural and man-made disasters - breaking the dismal cycle of poverty that destroys so many lives.
