You Transform HIV Lives
This year, La Casa de la Sal celebrates 40 years of transforming HIV lives.
For four decades, we have walked alongside people and families affected by HIV, providing care, support, prevention, and opportunities to build healthier and more hopeful futures. Throughout our history, our work has touched the lives of more than one million people.
For 21 years, our Infancias Libres de VIH (ILVIH) program has accompanied women living with HIV throughout pregnancy and beyond. As a result, more than 1,000 children have been born free of HIV, giving them the opportunity to grow and develop without HIV.
Today, the children we have accompanied continue to grow in foster families, where they receive care, protection, and the opportunity to build their own futures.
Prevention and early detection are also essential to our work. Throughout our history, we have conducted more than 50,000 rapid HIV tests, helping people learn their HIV status and connect with information, counseling, and appropriate care.
For 40 years, every test, every child, every family, and every person we accompany has been part of a larger story.
