Have you heard about people who live with HIV, and how the pandemic has increased over the past 40 years? A comprehensive response to HIV requires sustained commitment, ongoing support, and constant resources. People living with HIV face not only health conditions but also structural barriers, stigma, and inequalities that require medical, emotional, and Welfare support.

Challenge

In Mexico, thousands of people living with HIV face not only a chronic health condition, but also social, economic, and access barriers to decent medical services. Being an Ally for HIV/AIDS is much more than donating; it's being part of a movement of hope, justice, and transformation. According to SENSIDA National Autority of HIV Between 40 and 60% of people may experience some mental health problem, such as depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress.

Solution

We guarantee access to treatment and comprehensive care for people without social security. We provide emotional support to those recently diagnosed, so they don't face the process alone. We offer food and nutritional support, essential for the proper functioning of antiretroviral treatment. We fight stigma and discrimination by creating safe spaces and providing community education.
