In Mexico, living with HIV often means carrying more than a diagnosis—it means facing stigma, silence, and inequality. Over the past two months, our project “To Be an HIVlife Partner Is Possible” has walked alongside families who refuse to let those barriers define their future.
A mother who once feared rejection now receives psychological support that helps her raise her child with confidence. Babies born without HIV are nourished with milk formula, a simple gift that ensures their first months are filled with health instead of uncertainty. Teenagers gather in community workshops, learning not only about prevention but also about respect, dignity, and the power of their voices. Children find new homes in foster families who live openly with HIV, proving that love is stronger than prejudice.
Each of these stories is a footprint of change. Together, they remind us that what transcends leaves footprints—and those footprints are leading us toward a future of equality, justice, and hope.
