Upgrade 126 Nanofilter Kiosks into Centers

We hereby report the closeout of our Nanofilter Project in Zambia. The event was ceremoniously conducted on 20^th May 2021. The guest of honour was the Kalulushi District Councillor - represented by Mr. Zakeyo Kamanga. Other invited and attended guests include the Government Health Officer (Mrs. Clare Chongo), community representatives, and many others who were in the general audience. There was a special entertainment by Ngoma Band from Kitwe. The Nanofilter team also took advantage of the event to exhibit all products. There was an exhibition booth and all staff were in uniform.

We are so grateful for our sponsors for this project: the South African Innovation Support Program (SAIS 2) and Urban–Hedley Family Trust (U.S) represented by Mr. Robert Urban. This is a significant milestone for the implementation of the Thirst for Life Campaign (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHL9OCyHODw). Now we know what it takes to establish Nanofilter water stations in other countries beyond Tanzania.

 We did our best to engage media; thus dissemination was very aggressive. Please kindly enjoy some photos and video clips recorded during the event. The closeout event was covered by the Local Radio (Miracle Radio) and social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp).

Greetings from Tanzania

This quarter I want to give you a brief update on the progress of our Thirst For Life Campaign.

We appreciate people like Robert, Syb, Allan, etc (details reserved) who decided to sponsor the whole Nanofilter Kiosk "by themselves"! and everyone else who contributed ANY amount - because it all adds-up to our target of establishing 1,000 Kiosks ($1,000) from Alexandria, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa. 

We have fixed the kick-off date to be 18th July 2021 - I hope COVID-19 and other challenges will not interfere. We are now communicating with embassies and all necessary parties to make this great vision happen.

Our desperate need now is to get our word out - so we can invite many supporters for our campaign. We don't have a very competent IT Team or Social Media Experts to help us amplify our word. I was just looking to our Thirst for Life video today (16th Feb 2021) and found out there are only 20 views! How on earth can I fundraise $1,000 under such circumstances!/ THANKS to GlobalGiving (through you) for playing its part to help me and my team.
