This quarter we have opened a new station in Mtowambu – along the way to Karatu / Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti National Parks. You will see it on your left side as you are heading to those National Parks. This new station has created job for Sharifa and other who are operating it; those who deliver water to the station and to customers; and the whole value chain - including the night guard. Now the Mtowambu inhabitants can refill their bottles at the Nanofilter station at a price of Tsh. 3,000 (about $1.12) while the market price is double ($2.4). The establishment of each new station/center costs about USD 5,000 and it serves about 100 people with clean and safe water while creating job to the operators and the distributors of the purified water. The operator can make revenue of about USD 1,200 per month (as you can hear from their own testimony in the attached video clip). They pay a fix commission of USD 200 to TAHUDE Foundation at the end of the month and keep the remaining money as their final income. This USD 200 is used to cover the operations costs of TAHUDE and is also used for the filter maintenance/service. THANKS for being part of this success story. Here is the video clip showing the new centers and what the operators earn per month ($1,200). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is-kSGhwyeY STAY BLESSED! Askwar Hilonga – Director of TAHUDE Foundation
