Tech2Teach is Village by Village’s flagship digital learning programme, bringing iPads, interactive educational apps, and trained facilitators into rural schools where children have no other access to technology. Through weekly 45-minute digital lessons in Maths and English, the project strengthens academic performance, improves digital literacy, and builds excitement for learning.

A recent Child-Centered Evaluation—led through play-based, rights-respecting methods—captures directly from learners how Tech2Teach is changing their school experience, confidence, and future aspirations.

Key Results

1. Exclusive Access to Technology

  • 100% of children rely entirely on Tech2Teach for access to tablets or smartphones.
  • 99% believe technology is essential to their future, reflecting strong motivation to learn digital skills.

2. Strong Academic and Emotional Impact

  • 97% say their grades in English and Maths have improved thanks to Tech2Teach.
  • Classroom enjoyment shifts dramatically:
    • 96% feel positive emotions—excitement, happiness—during Tech2Teach lessons.
    • Only 43% feel positive during traditional lessons.
  • Children report feeling most excited on Tech2Teach days, more than weekends or normal school days.

3. Supporting Learners’ Long-Term Aspirations

Children dream of becoming teachers, nurses, public servants, business owners, and athletes—all careers that increasingly rely on digital tools. Tech2Teach strengthens the educational foundation required for these goals.
Key barriers children identify include lack of money and limited support, suggesting technology can play a role in building long-term opportunity and resilience.

Why Your Support Matters

Tech2Teach is not just adding technology to classrooms—it is transforming how children learn, engage, and imagine their future. In communities where children have never used a digital device at home, this programme levels the playing field and gives them skills essential for modern education and employment.

Your support helps Village by Village to:
Maintain and expand weekly digital lessons
Increase the number of children reached
Introduce new digital tools (e.g., financial literacy, wellbeing apps)
Develop deeper digital skills, including early coding and safe internet use
Strengthen opportunities for tech-based career awareness

Looking Ahead

With donor support, Tech2Teach aims to scale its impact by increasing session frequency, broadening digital learning content, and deepening local capacity. The programme is poised to become a leading model for rural digital education in Ghana—child-centered, locally led, and highly impactful.

Thank you for helping us bring life-changing digital learning to children who need it most.
Together, we are opening doors to education, confidence, and brighter futures.
