Village by Village aims to purchase 160 child-friendly computer tablets to support over 3,500 children each year, living in remote rural villages in West Africa, to improve their Maths & English. Because every child deserves the chance to read, count, and imagine a better future.
Right now, a child in a remote rural village in Ghana-like 13-year-old Nemo-has already given up on his dream of becoming a teacher. When COVID-19 closed schools across the country, Nemo, like thousands of children, had no access to online learning or resources. He became a day labourer. And although schools reopened, the lost time and lack of support crushed his chances of catching up. But you can stop this story from repeating.
Tech2Teach is Village by Village's bold solution to help children bounce back stronger from the education crisis. We're putting Amazon Fire tablets loaded with engaging literacy and numeracy games directly into the hands of children in some of the most overlooked communities in West Africa.
By embracing their love for digital technology and mixing it with proven learning tools, we'll run after-school and summer learning sessions to help rural school children recover lost education, re-engage with learning, and break the cycle of poverty. This isn't just about tech-it's about giving children the chance to dream again.
