Holiday programs in the community

By Enouce Ndeche | Director

Just to ensure that the youth are not engaged in unpleasant behaviors during their holiday time, VAP diverted its programs to community centres and sports academies in different places around Nairobi. Throughout the holiday month of April, program participants were kept busy with various Double Club programs .”Since participating in Double Club program, I have improved both my football skills and literacy “Said 13 years old James from Harambee academy.
“ I was very impressed with the way the youth were responding during the Double Club question and answers session and the way they were very open to disclose their past experiences and what they would like to be in the future.” Said Rashidi Shedu, the Director of star academy and former coach of Kenya football team.

"Programs that teach education and literacy like Double Club should be extended in every school and community centres so that the youth can have a great opportunity even as they have fun improving their football skills they can as well improve their literacy and education levels." Said the captain of Star academy 14 years old,Joseph.
