Based on this book and experience of our trainer and therapists, we have developed 30 hour Parental Training covering following topics: Introduction to Autism, Principles of ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis), Problem Behavior, Toilet Training, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Training, Main curriculum programs for children with autism, ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Learning and Language Skills) Training
Training was developed by Registred Behavioral Therapists - graduates of Psychology Department of AUCA
We have chosen first group of 14 parents who started to receive Parental Training on June 3, 2015 and conducted five three hour sessions. In upcoming month we are planning upon completion of training start testing children and writing individualized intervention program for every child.
Also, after assesment every child will be given individualized necessary set of teaching aids and games. There will be supervised sessions of therapy with the child, knowledge obtained during the training will be properly applied and implemented. Three months after the end of the training the children will be evaluated again to measure a progress.
