Guimaras is the smallest island province in the Philippines. Since the province is basically agricultural, families are dependent on the farm produce for their livelihood. In November 2009, NATCCO started introducing the Aflatoun Program in 5 schools. Currently, there are 400 children in the Aflatoun program actively participating in their aflatoun lessons in class and regularly saving in their account. They were able to generate $1,100 savings.
