We are so excited at Hope 4 Africa. We are continuing to raise funds for our projects in Kenya at record levels. On March 2nd, our annual Hope 4 Africa Night raised $8,500 and was attended by 105 amazing individuals (also both records!). And on top of all of that, our supporters are still working hard to raise money through Global Giving to support our Teachers 4 Hope campaign, putting us even closer to reaching our $20,000 goal and supporting more teachers at our partner schools in Kenya.
At Hope 4 Africa, life is good. And that means education in Kenya is going to get even better, so life is great!
On May 3rd, we have another first: Educators 4 Hope, a charity walk held in Des Moines, IA. We are in the process of talking and meeting with educators around the state of Iowa and encouraging them to help our cause of supporting fellow teachers all the way in Kenya--educators helping educators! If anyone understands the importance of a good teacher and a reasonable student to teacher ratio, it's teachers. And we have been so pleased with the enthusiasm and support of all the teachers we have met with thus far.
Individuals and groups will be fundraising for this event online through Global Giving to support the Teachers 4 Hope campaign, and the top fundraisers will be rewarded for their hard work. Continue to watch our website (www.hope4africa.info), blog (http://blog.hope4africa.info/), and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/hope4africa) for more details as the event gets closer.
We would love to see as many of you there as possible on May 3rd, but even if you can't make it, please consider donating to the cause. A good teacher can make all the difference in an education, and a good education can change the world.
Thanks for all your continued support!
