Help 1,800 students get quality teachers in Kenya

We could not be any more grateful for the support we received during the Holiday Challenge. We continue to be amazed at the generosity of our donors, the hard work of our team and clubs, and the wonderful accomplishments of our students in Kenya.  

Hope 4 Africa reached some big milestones as an organization through the Holiday Challenge. It was our largest online fundraiser to date. We raised more than the $5,000 from the over 40 donors required to earn a permanent spot on the GlobalGiving fundraising site. Because of this, we are able to continue fundraising through GlobalGiving and have done so through birthday fundraisers and donations. Our first goal is to fully fund our Teachers 4 Hope project; that’s $20,000 that will be used to fund three teachers at each of our 6 partner schools in Kenya as well as fund supplemental instruction projects and supplies. The impact this will have at our partner schools is truly immeasurable.

Our goal is to fund Teachers 4 Hope by the organization’s next trip to Kenya this summer, so continue to check our website, blog, social media sites, and GlobalGiving to stay informed about what your contribution is accomplishing. You can also use these sites to stay posted on ways to contribute to future projects. 

Education truly is an investment in the future, and the bright, ambitious students at our partner schools are excited to pay the dividends by becoming doctors, lawyers, teachers, and politicians and contributing to society in positive ways.
