Dear Supporters,
Hopeful Africa has an exciting campaign to announce. I'll cover that first, since it's time-sensitive, but further down I will offer up a project update.
This holiday season, the Hope Team and I are asking that you consider donating on #GivingTuesday (12/2/2014) to Hopeful Africa's other GlobalGiving project:https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/improve-the-education-of-2000-students-in-kenya/. Hopeful Africa is lucky enough to be participating in a #GivingTuesday matching campaign through GlobalGiving. Microsoft YouthSpark is matching donations to that project, not this one, on Tuesday the second of December. That's 100% matching. It's an incredible opportunity for Hopeful Africa and for its partner schools. Tuesday will almost definitely be the best day yet for this organization and we want you to be a part of it.
The other project includes additional teacher funding, but also covers Hopeful Africa's other two programs: student sponsorship and school investment. If you want to support Hopeful Africa this year, donating on #GivingTuesday is the best way to do so. Please consider supporting Hopeful Africa by donating to its other GlobalGiving project on 12/2; if you do, your impact will be doubled.
Now, the update: Over the last few months, Hopeful Africa has disbursed $1,980 to its partner schools in Kenya, helping the schools to pay for 10 additional teachers over that time. Hopeful Africa will continue sending funds every month. If you want to see where exactly the partner schools are, head on over to the where we work page of hopefulafrica.org. It's not totally complete, but it has some good information on Hopeful Africa's partners.
Soon, volunteers on the Hope Team will begin to write about the teachers being hired due to Hopeful Africa's support. You can follow the blog, which is full of great content, here. However, the best way to keep in the loop is to like Hopeful Africa on Facebook and follow the organization on Twitter. If you want to get monthly emails, please subscribe to the mailing list. However you want to stay connected, know that progress on the teacher support program is continuous and successful.
Remember, the 12/2 campaign only applies to the other project, found at this link: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/improve-the-education-of-2000-students-in-kenya/ .
Thank you!
