Thanks to your support, migrant women and girls continue to access reliable reproductive health information throughout their journeys, helping them make informed decisions about their health, even in uncertain and challenging circumstances.
At Ipas Latin America and the Caribbean (Ipas LAC), we believe that access to accurate, rights-based reproductive health information is essential to ensuring that women and people who can become pregnant can make informed decisions about their health. In Mexico, where people on the move often face barriers to accessing health services and trustworthy information, the Te Acompaño chatbot offers an accessible digital resource connecting migrant communities with guidance on sexual and reproductive health, including safe abortion care.
In response to these realities, Te Acompaño helps bridge information gaps by connecting users with practical guidance and resources, including:
In October 2026, we continued strengthening this tool by updating the chatbot’s content and maintaining its network of 1,194 access points for misoprostol or mifepristone across 15 states, with a focus on key migration routes.
Since its launch in September 2023, Te Acompaño has reached more than 19,261 people and facilitated over 15,876 conversations. Approximately 14 civil society organizations and national, local, and regional health institutions working directly with migrant communities actively use and promote the chatbot. Chiapas and Tabasco account for 39% of all interactions, highlighting the tool’s reach in two states with high concentrations of migrants and along migration routes where access to reliable information is particularly urgent. These patterns demonstrate the chatbot’s continued relevance as an accessible source of reproductive health information in complex and high-need contexts.
With your continued support, Te Acompaño can keep responding to the evolving needs of migrant communities, strengthening its content and connections to services while expanding access to reliable information. By sustaining digital tools like this one, we help ensure that people navigating uncertain journeys can find the guidance they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
