This project will restore Jamila Bouhayir School in Tal Rifaat, Aleppo, by repairing classrooms, restrooms, and the courtyard, and providing furniture and learning materials. It will enable over 1200 children to attend safe, full-day classes and regain stable access to quality education after years of conflict.
Years of conflict destroyed most schools in Tal Rifaat, forcing children to study in unsafe, overcrowded caravans that are cold in winter and hot in summer. Broken walls, poor sanitation, and a lack of materials make learning unsafe and unhealthy. Returning families need a safe, stable school for their children.
The project will rehabilitate the school building, repair toilets and electrical systems, and supply new furniture and materials. Using local labor and resources will create jobs, strengthen the community, and ensure a safe, sustainable learning environment for over 1200 students.
A restored school will provide 1,200 children with access to quality, full-time education, improve teachers' morale, and enhance community resilience. It will help families rebuild their lives, restore hope, and support a new generation of Syrian children determined to learn and heal after war.
