Project report

Message from the Leadership

We are grateful for your generous support in helping Awakening Potential Foundation (APF) provide clean, safe drinking water to underserved rural communities in Ghana’s Volta Region. This report highlights our recent achievements, challenges, and planned initiatives.

Water Project

APF remains committed to addressing water poverty in Ghana’s Volta Region by mobilizing adequate resources to complete the Deve Community Water Project. However, limited funding has delayed the acquisition of essential infrastructure and equipment, hindering the provision of sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water. APF continues to seek kind support to complete the project and improve the lives of Deve residents.

Outcomes & Impact when completed

Once completed, the project is expected to deliver the following outcomes:

1. Improve Water Access: Provide over 2,500 residents with sustainable access to clean, safe drinking water.

2. Enhance Education: Improve school attendance and student participation.

3. Strengthen Livelihoods: Create better economic opportunities and resilience.

4. Empower Women: Increase women’s involvement in income-generating activities.

5. Improve Public Health: Reduce waterborne diseases and related illnesses.

Upcoming Projects

In the coming months, APF plans to:

secure additional funding, complete the Deve Community Water Project, including the installation of a 3,000-litre water storage facility, and launch water projects in two more rural communities in the Volta Region.

We welcome partners and stakeholders to join us in promoting sustainable development through reliable access to clean and safe drinking water.

Acknowledgement

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors, partners, and volunteers whose continued support enables APF to combat rural water poverty in Ghana’s Volta Region.
