During the 2024 Christmas season, the Msichana Imara Foundation organized a special Christmas Pads Giveaway at Irikisongo Secondary School. The initiative aimed to celebrate menstruation as a natural and normal part of life while ensuring that girls have access to essential menstrual hygiene products.
As part of this effort, 100 girls received four reusable pads each, providing them with sustainable menstrual solutions for the next two years. Beyond just distributing pads, this initiative served as a powerful reminder to the community that periods should never be a source of shame but rather acknowledged and supported with dignity.
By making menstrual health a part of holiday giving, we continue our mission to break taboos, promote period positivity, and ensure that no girl misses school due to lack of access to menstrual products.
Thank you to all our supporters for making this possible! Together, we are creating a world where periods are celebrated, not stigmatized.
