When Nia arrived at an Inter Care-supported clinic, she was experiencing significant discomfort. The pain in her lower abdomen made it difficult to walk, and as she was pregnant, she wanted to make sure both she and her baby were safe.
After examination, she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI), a common condition that can be easily treated, but without the right medication, it can lead to dangerous complications, including pre-term labour and pregnancy loss.
Thankfully, because of supporters like you, the clinic had the antibiotics and pain relief needed to stabilise Nia quickly. She received a full course of treatment, along with guidance on how to manage her symptoms and keep herself and her baby healthy.
Within days, her pain eased. Soon after, Nia could walk comfortably again, her infection had cleared, and she was able to return home with peace of mind. Most importantly, she continued her pregnancy safely.
