Hi everyone,
Since my last update in July, donations have been very low with just $50 received, leaving the project with essentially no funds to support our work on the ground. Our amazing volunteer team continues to show up with smiles and dedication, but we’re struggling to sustain the program without resources. If myself. as a volunteer for 6 months have shared with my friends and family and tried to run some charitable events here in Peru but nothing is bringing in what we need and I know these reports shoud be possitive but I want to be real and true.
Despite these challenges, we continue to hold community health talks and workshops, educating people about sanitation, malaria prevention, first aid, and basic healthcare. However, fewer people are attending now because we haven’t been able to print posters or run local awareness campaigns, and social media outreach hasn’t been enough to reach everyone. My group yesterday I had only 1 lady. turn up with her 4 month old baby, it was still a great session!!!
Sadly, we have also been unable to respond to seven medical emergencies over the past few months, and the outcomes for those community members were not good. This is heartbreaking, but it only strengthens our commitment to keep trying.
We know that the world is full of urgent needs right now with hurricanes, government funding cuts, and more communities reaching out to charities and it can feel overwhelming. But every day, we get up and continue our work, hoping for brighter days ahead.
Every donation made now goes directly to supporting healthcare in these underserved communities from health awareness talks to emergency response kits. Even a small gift helps us save lives
Thank you for standing with us during this challenging time. With your support, we can keep the program alive and continue bringing essential healthcare to the communities that need it most.
