Supporting Families with Disabled Children

Caring for a child with multiple and/or severe disabilities places enormous physical and emotional demands on parents. At “der Neue Kupferhof”, we see every day how much families carry – from worries about their child and siblings to financial and bureaucratic challenges, relationship strain and social exclusion.

That is why, for the past year, we have offered psychological counseling specifically for guest parents. The program provides a safe space to talk, reflect and simply take a breath – whether in a one-on-one conversation, during a walk or together with other parents.

The counseling has been very well received and is now an integral part of the weekly program at “Hände für Kinder, der Neue Kupferhof”. Families can book an appointment online before their stay or sign up on site.

The many positive responses from parents show how valuable this support is. One parent wrote:
