Challenge

Haende fuer Kinder is an organization that provides aid to people in difficult situations and thus provides services that benefit the community as a whole (the kids as well as their families)

Solution

The New Kupferhof in Hamburg is a short term home for disabled children an their families. Here they can go on a vacation and return to everyday life with new vigor. This house is an addition to the existing children's hospices. The child with disability is encouraged, the parents can recover and get new impulses for life at home.

Long-Term Impact

Each year around 400 families can be relieved for up to 28 days. The team of "Hande fur Kinder" takes care of the handicapped child and the whole family is stabilized so that a common everyday life is still possible.
