Putting the ANT in ServANThood improves your Serve

This title may puzzle many, but the leaders in the  Leadership Camps that were organised for the children and youths, had it all well thought through.

You see, being a leader that will survive the test of time, requires a certain calibre in a person, and it is best  understood, by observing the humble ANT.

Young leaders came from various provinces to attend this annual training, so that they may go back to their local communities and serve there, by being leaders that live by being good examples to others.

In this camp, qualities that the humble ant possesses, has been brought up and taught, through activities in the camp, which included teamwork (through obstacle courses and tenting ) ,  putting others before self (like serving others their meals first before eating), being organised (both in doing activities, as well as in keeping the living quarters neat and tidy), role play and simulation games help campers to plan for the future, and make good use of limited resources (as in cooking a meal outdoors with limited ingredients).... and all these were conducted in a beautiful campsite, by the National Park in Khao Yai, where the  campers were also reminded that to enjoy the fresh air and enviornment, they too have a part to keep the planet clean and green.

Makeur, the fifteen year-old boy remarks, "I love coming to these yearly camps, and I have learnt so much about being a leader." ... and he has been to our camps since he was 10 years old.

At the same time Bin, a primary school girl, proudly said," Although it was scary crossing the rope bridge, I now know that if I focus and make the effort, I will reach the otherside."

By the end of the camp, many meaningful friendships were kindled because of the camaraderie shared , and many will be keeping in touch via social media, till they meet again at the next camp.

The Foundation thanks all who have played a part in making these training possible through your generous donations and sacrifice, giving young people a hope and a future, through experiencing and observing good leadership.

We welcome any feedback that may better our outreach and impact.

Best regards,

Vena
