Harnessing the Energy of Our Young Leaders

You who are young, make the most of your youth.
Relish your youthful vigor.
Follow the impulses of your heart.
If something looks good to you, pursue it.
But know also that not just anything goes;
You have to answer to God for every last bit of it.

Ecclesiastes

In our ministry to youths, the Foundation for Life realize that they are actually filled with energy, but unfortunately many a times, this energy has been channelled in wayward paths, causing heartaches and pain to their loved ones and to themselves. In their vibrancy and enthusiasm, their quick decisions are made without regard to possible damaging consequences.
Thus purposeful and intentional programs has been planned so that their energies are harnessed for their own growth and enjoyment, benefiting themselves and others. One of which is that we run yearly national leadership camps to train and give these young leaders the skill-set and the philosophy of a true servant-leader. .... with the goal of letting them be involved in the planning and the running of National Camps for the youths and children in the Foundation.
Our diligent staffs have been liaising and coordinating meetings for the youth leaders in the city as well as the upcountry villages, so that they can help plan and decide the programmes in the National Camp for the girls and and the boys this July. Through this event, our young leaders learn to work as teams, use their creativity and energies responsibly, so that campers will have a great time in camp and make new and lasting  relationships.
Says Nurse (nickname), now 16 years old, "I have been with the program since I was in primary school. Through years of training and practice as a young leader, I see myself grow in responsibility and confidence, as I learn how to lead the younger ones, knowing that I am a living example to them."

"I am so  grateful that my leaders trust me enough to let me lead in the weekly activities, and that has indeed honed my leadership skills and helped me get along with all kinds of people."said Makuer, who has been leading other boys and children for the past 3 years, since he was 13 years.
Along the same trend, our Foundation is also grateful that donors trust us enough to partner with us and allowing us to mould the next generation of young, vibrant people who are compassionate that will lead their peers for the good of their local communities.

Help Arrives for School Affected by Pabuk Storm

Help Arrives for School Affected by Pabuk Storm

When the above said school was hit with the Storm, they were at a loss as to how the school can recover themselves.

Thankfully, as our Foundation came into the picture, we were able to garner help from empathetic donors who rallied to help, even those whom they do not know. These were local as well as some overseas donors, like yourselves.

Slowly as the news went out, donors slowly streamed in with donated items, monetary funds and even physical help to get the items packed and shipped.

The School Administrator / Director was touched when she received a donation to help with the repairs in the school facilities, said "Thank you to all who donated to help us, so that the children in the school can return back to the school for their education, as facilitoes are restored, for their safety."

Some of the volunteers of the Foundation also went to support the children at the award giving ceremonies, when the children completed their school year, giving out the donated items to them, encouraging them to move forward and develop a resilent character that will also care for ohers in their community.

Perhaps because of the numerous calamities that they have encountered, both the school and the students were very appreciative of the love and help that came their way.

The Foundation thanks all donors who have given sacrificially and freely for this small community (overlooked by governmental and large corporations), so that they will have a hope and a future!

May this Easter seaon bring you Love, Hope and Joy, just as you have done for these children in Nakhon Si Thammarad, Choosin School.

Urgent Help for School Affected by Pabuk Storm

Dear Partners:

Nothing like a Video speaks louder than a thousand words... so kindly take a look at the following news update by Telegraph, UK and the CNN:

As the ferocious Pabuk storm rampages across Nakhon Si Thammarad and the neighbouring provinces, a little school called Chusilp (pronounced Choosin), was also affected in its path, causing much damage, with broken roofings, fallen walls, flooded classrooms... and the worst is not over yet, as it also stands in the path of flash floods, as continuous downpour are expected over next few days.

5 JAN TO PESENT
Our Foundation for Life is in the midst of collecting donated items for their aftermath, clean-up and rehabilitation, both for the families of the affected STUDENTS and for the school itself, as it a non-governmental school that helps to integrate Autistic children in their Educational system (with hardly any fundings).

At the same time, 2 fishing villages named Pak Phanang and Laem Talumphuk have been badly affected as they are by the sea, with significant damage done, for which our Foundation is also reaching out to

We are appealing to you our as our partners to consider giving generously as you have always done, so that the less priviledged may be able to pick up the shreds left behind by Storm Pabuk, to live a life of normalcy.
