Support Victims of Coastal Erosion in Keta

Summary

Coastal erosion in Keta continues to destroy homes, displace families, and threaten livelihoods in vulnerable seaside communities. Rising sea levels and strong tidal waves have left many households without safe shelter, stable income, or basic necessities. This project will provide emergency relief, shelter support, and recovery assistance for families affected by coastal erosion in Keta.

Challenge

Families living along the coast in Keta face constant destruction caused by sea erosion and tidal waves. Homes, businesses, and personal belongings are often damaged or washed away, forcing many families into unsafe living conditions. Fishing activities and small businesses are also affected, increasing poverty and hardship in already vulnerable communities.

Solution

This project will provide emergency relief items, temporary shelter support, food aid, household supplies, and livelihood recovery assistance for affected families in Keta. The project will also support vulnerable households with rebuilding materials and community education on disaster preparedness and coastal safety.

Long-Term Impact

This project will help vulnerable families in Keta recover from the effects of coastal erosion, improve living conditions, and restore livelihoods. It will strengthen community resilience, reduce disaster-related hardship, and provide safer support for families living in high-risk coastal areas.
