Farms for Community Transformative Foundation is launching a sustainable farming project in Okanle, Kwara State, Nigeria. With 2.3 acres of land, Phase 1 ($5,000) will clear the land, start cultivation, and create local jobs. Our goal is to fight hunger, empower the community, and expand this model to other rural villages. Your support will help families grow food and build a self-reliant future.
Food insecurity remains a major challenge in Nigeria, with many still going hungry in 2025. Since 2022, our NGO has supported widows and families in need with food aid. We now aim to create lasting change through sustainable farms that produce food and empower communities to become self-sufficient. Nigerians are creative, hardworking, and resilient-and deserve the opportunity to thrive.
This project addresses hunger in rural Nigeria by creating a sustainable farm in Okanle. Instead of relying on food handouts only, but also empowers the community with tools, training, and income opportunities. By teaching residents how to grow their own food, the project builds long-term food security and self-reliance-creating a model that can be expanded to other villages.
Our project tackles food insecurity with a long-term, empowering solution-not quick fixes or free aid. In Okanle, a rural village of about 1,000 people, we have 2.3 acres to launch this farm. It will provide food and teach residents how to grow their own, building skills and independence. Our goal is to replicate this model in other villages across Nigeria.
