Dear Supporter,
An accident can change a life in seconds.
For patients in northern Syria, the injury itself is only the beginning. Many must also face long waiting lists, high medical costs, and the fear that urgent surgery may not be available when they need it most.
Recently, two patients arrived at the Orthopedic Emergency Department of one of SEMA’s hospitals with serious thigh bone fractures.
One was a 45-year-old woman injured after a fall.
The other was a 12-year-old child who suffered a similar fracture.
Both needed urgent surgery. Without immediate intervention, they faced severe pain, prolonged immobility, and potentially lasting complications.
Thanks to your support, our medical teams were able to act quickly.
After the necessary examinations and imaging, both patients underwent successful surgery to stabilize their fractures with surgical plates. They remained under medical supervision until they were stable enough to leave the hospital and continue their recovery.
Your donations helped make these operations possible.
You helped turn two frightening emergencies into two stories of healing.
You helped relieve pain, restore movement, and give both patients the chance to return to their families and daily lives.
Thank you for standing with patients who have nowhere else to turn.
Many others are still waiting for urgent surgical care, and your continued support can help ensure that cost never becomes the reason a patient is left in pain.
When an emergency happens without warning, your generosity helps us be ready.
With heartfelt gratitude,
