With the Syrian conflict completing its ten years, many Syrians live under the poverty line in poor conditions. IDA serves in the northwest of Syria, where 1.4 Million lives in camps and tents with minimum access to essential living materials.
IDA supports the Hope hospital that provides maternity and paediatrician services for the population in the Jarablus, Aleppo. IDA raised funds through globalgiving.org to support families with newborns in obtaining the needed clothing for their newcomers.
The fundraising ended on the 23rd of April.2021 with 5,511 USD. This money was used to purchase clothing and essential baby kits and distributed to the families in need after delivering in our Hope Hospital facility during June and July of 2021. During these months, Hope hospital delivered 384 babies (188 in June and 196 in July) 65% were males.
All babies and their mothers received a high quality of care for newborns and postnatal care. During these two months, extra love was provided due to the generous donations received.
IDA would like to thank you on behalf of our children, mothers and fathers for introducing warmth into our babies’ hearts.
