Support the Incomplete Orphanage Building

Dear supporters of SevaChild Norway/Internasjonal Barnehjelp Norge.

Happy New Year 2018 to all of you!

What amazing people you all are! I say this as we for the project "Support the incomplete Orphanage Building" through GlobalGiving so far have managed to raise a total of US $ 2.552 from 25 different donors. Through our own system also for the same project we have so far managed to raise a total of US $ 2.210, alltogether US $ 4.762 out of a total of US $ 14.635. We still have a long way to go until we have completed this project, but with the willingness shown from all of you donors I am confident that we shall manage to complete this project within a not too long time - it is always a good thing to be an optimist!

Due to insufficient funds - and the unsecurity the 1st floor represent in its present shape - the Indian Authorities early January ordered the Orphanage to place its children in its care with other Orphanages in the vicinity of our own Ashagram Orphanage. We have obeyed the order and are now working hardly in order to secure further funds to complete the building - hence, again allowing us to transfer the children back to our own premises. We are of course very sad that this was the conclusions from the Government, although we do accept this in the interest of the children affected.

But, with the money already raised we have managed to complete some of the required work as shown in the pictures attached. While waiting for further funds to come forward and allowing us now to secure the building before the monsoon is setting in, we have also approached various Foundations, Coorporations, NGO's etc. to see what money can be raised for the project through such channels.

In the meantime, rest assured that all donations to the projects have been utilized for the very best of the project, although we have not yet managed to secure its fully completion. We again appeal to everybody to come forward with contributions - big or small - enabling the children in our care to have a safe and secure home to live in!

Greetings from the entire team and volunteers here at "Internasjonal Barnehjelp Norge"/"SevaChild Norway".

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our project. As of today we have received US $ 2.145 out of a total budget of US $ 14.635 for this project. The donations of US $ 2.145 has been a contribution from 21 donors!

Although the budget for completion of the project has not yet been completed, we have started the work on this project in India earlier than mentioned in our previous report. You might be familiar with the situation in India - the monsoon rain is normally there during the last few months of every year. The intensity of such rain is defining the progress of the work - our is no exception. But, only a few haults in the work has been there during the said monsoon time, and from our attached pictures you might imagine that shelter on both floors for our male kids there are getting closer to a fact - thanks to YOU people!

We shall be utilizing all your donated money, and shall also now seek funding from various organizations, foundations etc.

Once more - on behalf of all our children living in our premises, THANK YOU so much for your generous contributions to this project. Be sure that possible further donations shall be utilized to the very best of our inmates at the orphanage.
