We need your help to secure an orphanage building in which children can live in peace and harmony. Wouldn't it be wonderful to know you are helping to bring positive change to our world by affecting the life of a child?
The problem right now is lack of adequate space and facilities for a healthy growth and development of the orphane children living at Ashagram Orphanage. The space available with just 4 rooms and one verandah is too little for 21 kids and 5 care providers presently living there. Currently they use the same rooms for dining, for sleeping and for study rooms. Only the kitchen and stores are separate. This is not an ideal situation, and has very urgently to be set right. Hence, the urgency!
The beneficaries of the project, on completion of the building with construction of the first floor, will each year be the 50 orphan kids and their 5 care providers. Completion of the building with construction of the first floor, will enable these orphan children to have sufficient space to live in. They will be able to study without much disturbance in a separate study room. They will also have, during the rainy season, a separate place where they can play indoors.
The whole environment will be improved. With regard to the wider impact of the project, the greater community and local Authorities know that they can count on this institution for family in crisis, weather long term-, midium term- or short term crisis. One of the immediate benefits of this program is that we shall be able to provide care to the increased number of very deserving orphan children with no one to providethem such basic care.
