On Monday 6 February, a deadly earthquake hit Turkiye and Syria. The nearly 12-year war in Syria has forced millions of people to flee. Now, many are fleeing the devastating earthquake that has claimed thousands of lives. The disaster happened amid a severe winter storm at the coldest time of the year. Now every minute counts, and there is a need for a massive scaling up of our work.
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is assessing the situation in order to provide direct support to those most affected across Syria.
