Helping people forced to flee

Summary

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization helping people forced to flee. We deliver high-quality aid where needs are greatest. We work in both new and protracted crises across more than 40 countries, where we provide camp management, food assistance, clean water, shelter, legal aid, and education. In 2022, NRC assisted almost 10 million people worldwide, and with your support, we can help even more.

Challenge

Today, a record 108 million people are fleeing war and persecution. Not since World War Two have more people needed our help. These people lack food, water, education and - not least - protection. The fate of more than 100 million people should concern us all, but the help they receive is far from sufficient to meet their needs. In the last six years, only around 60 per cent of the money required for humanitarian appeals has been raised.

Solution

When you support us, you ensure that displaced people get food, clean water, and a roof over their head. With your donation, we can build schools and train teachers. We also offer legal assistance, helping displaced people claim their rights. In the freezing winter months, we provide warm clothes and heating.

Long-Term Impact

Every other second, a person is forced to flee. They leave everything behind in search of safety from war, conflict and natural disasters. NRC is there when they need us the most. When you support us, you save lives and build safer futures.
