The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization helping people forced to flee. We deliver high-quality aid where needs are greatest. We work in both new and protracted crises across more than 40 countries, where we provide food assistance, clean water, protection from violence, shelter, legal aid, and education. In 2024, NRC assisted over 9 million people worldwide, and with your support, we can help even more.
Today, more than 120 million people are fleeing war and persecution. Not since World War Two have more people needed our help. These people lack food, water, education and - not least - protection. The fate of more than 100 million people should concern us all, but the help they receive is far from sufficient to meet their needs.

We also offer legal assistance, helping displaced people claim their rights. In the freezing winter months, we provide warm clothes and heating.
