Dear Dedicated Supporter,
When a girl in Benue State is forced into early marriage or endures violence, the pain does not end with her—it echoes through her family, especially her mother, and impacts generations to come.
Consider the story of Blessing and her daughter, Ruth. Blessing was herself a child bride, married before her 16th birthday. She never finished school, and the trauma of early marriage left scars that shaped her life. When Ruth, her eldest daughter, began to approach adolescence, Blessing feared the same fate awaited her child: the pressure to marry early, drop out of school, and face the risks of early pregnancy and gender-based violence.
This cycle is heartbreakingly common. According to UNICEF, 43% of women aged 20–24 in Nigeria were married before 18. The consequences ripple outward:
But hope grows when one girl is given a chance.
With your support through the “Support Sexual Health Rights for Women and Girls” project, we can:
When a girl is protected and educated, her mother finds hope, her siblings see a new path, and her entire family moves towards a brighter future. The chains of generational harm are broken. Girls who finish school are more likely to delay marriage, raise healthy children, and help lift their families out of poverty.
Your gift is a lifeline—protecting the dreams of a girl, the heart of a mother, and the strength of a family. Stand with us today, and help transform not just individual lives, but entire generations in Benue State.
With hope for every family,
