Support quality education of underprivileged kids

Thank you for supporting the children of Nav Lakshmi Public School

Our students have been studying hard, but as the holiday season approaches they made sure to have good fun too. With the holidays upon us, the end of the semester gives us all a chance to reflect on the year.

• We feel proud and joy that the children who are in the part of project is promoted / qualified to their further classes as it is time for starting the Academic year. In this quarter almost all the children studied hard and prepared to write their annual examinations.
• Parents are happy and expressed their gratitude being taking support for their children education.
• In this summer vacation special classes are conducting on “spoken English” to improve their communication skills.
• SASHAKTI team member visited village and motivated the all the children to go to local school and explained the importance of the education. Had meeting with community and all were agreed to send their children to school. They have asked school supplies for their children.
• All the teachers given extratime to enable children to study hard and get good marks.
• There are some parents having drinking habit and spending their meager wages. Children and mothers expressed to SASHAKTI team and the team taken challenge to have counselling with men(  children parents) who are adicted.
• The need is more in tribal and Dalit area as they are living in remote villages with poverty. In this villages youth are active and graduated from their colleges/universities but no employmemnt opportunities. When we are motivating children in the village we are also facing challenges that most of the youth are just roaming in the village without jobs.
• SASHAKTI team interacted with the children who are living slum area . Organising children with motivation to bring them back to the school.Hope we will succeed in next counselling. 

We are pleased to share the progress of needy children in their education and thankful to GlobalGiving team for giving the opportunity to support all the children. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude for all the donors who are part of ensuring the following result.

Sashakti empowering people offers a highly subsidized education to over 70 students in classes Pre-nursery to 6th. Striving to maintain small class sizes and retain quality teachers.

Our student have participated in the district level school completion and won the consolation prizes, though we know it’s not enough but for us its great achievement as we know from where our students come from. We are focusing on each and every child so that they can compete any school competition. 

This year we have launce the program Samanta which provide educational opportunity to girls, from socially and economically disadvantaged communities of India, who traditionally have no access to schooling. We ensure that the sponsored girl children get at least 12 years of school education. Under this program our partner Nav Lakshmi Public school is enrolling all girls free of cost admission in the school.

Sashakti identified 75 poorest of the poor children and distributed school supplies (books, slates, pens, pencils, slate pencils, erasers and sharpeners)

This year our student has celebrated the Christmas and new Year
