During the year 2020, the main goal of OSSO Foundation with its project "Hogar de Angeles" was the holistic attention for 20 people with severe disabilities. We focused on these areas:

Health: We provided general and specialized attention, medication, medical supplies, medical exams, and we acquired special medical supplies.
Nutrition: We provide nutritious meals to 15 people with disabilities, besides five special plan meals to 5 beneficiaries with severe disabilities.
Daily Care: Our group of assistants provided nutrition, hygiene assistance, medical support, and help.
Therapeutic and recreational services: Our beneficiaries enjoyed the following services: physical therapy, physicological therapy, recreational activities, artistic activities, among others.
Due to the current global pandemic, we made significant changes in the operational area to prevent contagions.
The workers, directors, and medical assistants moved in and lived together for three months as a safety measure.
After this period, we followed strict safety measures following all the
biosafety protocols.

2021 GOALS
To continue with the holistic attention to 19 beneficiaries with disabilities. Improve their quality of life.
To reactivate the community participation and volunteering programs.
To improve the management areas.
To continue with our politics of transparency and optimal use of resources.
To get the vaccine to immunize the beneficiaries and personal.
Thank you for your trust and support!

During this time Faced with the health emergency in which the world is living CORONAVIRUS (cov-19), especially in our city Cuenca, it is a pleasure to be able to tell you that we are advantageously healthy and always seeking to serve children with love and warmth, girls and adolescents of the home, thanks to you we have been able to get ahead.

Restrictions established by the government, of social distancing, transportation and mobility, the program at OSSO had to be restructured so that the caregivers and guides of the children remain in the orphanage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since you could not leave because of the national curfew regulations. We are so grateful to have our commited staff that been sacrificing their own families for the health of our children.

Also our  HOGAR DE ANGELES project provides a welcoming space for children and adolescents. It has been done in the best way, children have remained healthy with medicines and hygiene materials, which have improved the quality of life of children, adolescents with disabilities. Mention also that thanks to your collaboration the children have adequate food and medication.

It is important to emphasize that children have stayed with oxygen, this guarantees them to improve the quality of sleep, improve their vital signs so that their heart works calmly and not excessively. We invite you to continue supporting, and that more hearts can join this great project. Thank you for helping these children to have a decent and fair quality of life.

The OSSO organization, in this period has achieved its objectives as a year, emphasizing quality care and care for children and adolescents who are beneficiaries of the orphanage.

Thanks to their permanent collaboration, children are currently covered with medications and diapers. This allows people with disabilities to improve their quality and life expectancy by staying with medical oxygen. It helps improve shortness of breath, improves sleep quality. Improve your vital signs as heart rate by preventing the heart muscle from working excessively, as well as an improvement in oxygenation levels.

The “OSSO” foundation has been able to apply what has been learned in the community assistance program, in the area of volunteer management and management, with the international cooperation of the United States, through the exchange of volunteers, they have been able to plan and assign activities to Each of the volunteers. This has allowed volunteers to collaborate with children with severe disabilities, with art therapy activities, recreational activities and play therapy. This has allowed children to create a bond of trust and can motivate activities.

This period the OSSO organization has been able to start a new project "HOME OF ANGELS", which has as an initiative to provide a space for children and adolescents who do not necessarily have to be orphans, this will allow the creation of a Welcome space, providing love for everyone.

We thank each of you because through your donations we can permanently help you with medications and hygiene materials, which have improved the quality of life for children, adolescents with disabilities. We want to invite you, to help us spread this great project so that more people join this cause, since there are many needs for children, we need to cover many expenses since it is a 24-hour care project, during the 7 days of the week to people with severe disabilities. Due to the respiratory deficiencies that our children have, they need to use medicinal oxygen in a permanent way, this input being vitally important.

Thank you for making the change together, thank you for allowing us to improve the quality of life and give you life expectancy.
Together we are the change!
