Many families in northern Gaza have experienced repeated displacement and have lost access to their homes, belongings, and usual sources of basic services. Today, they are living in scattered camps where obtaining sufficient drinking water can be a daily struggle.
Water shortages affect every part of family life. Drinking water is needed not only to prevent thirst but also for preparing food, caring for children, and meeting other essential household needs.
For families with little or no income, purchasing water regularly can be extremely difficult. When every available resource must be divided between food, water, medicine, and other necessities, families are forced to make painful choices.
Providing free drinking water can help ease this pressure. It allows vulnerable households to use their limited resources for other urgent needs while ensuring that they still have access to safe water.
Regular distribution is particularly important because water is a continuous need. A family cannot store enough water indefinitely; new supplies are required every day.
By supporting water delivery to displacement camps in northern Gaza, donors can provide immediate, practical assistance to families facing extremely difficult circumstances.
