During this particular time period, our volunteers continued their projects about human rights, education, health, work with groups of indigenous farmer women, as well as a project of indepedent means of information. On March, with the opportunity of International Women's Day, our volunteers participated in various relative actions. Sadly, in the middle of this month, our actions were gravely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, since the vast majority of our volunteers had to return to their countries following the international border closure, thus leaving Casa Junax in an unpredecented lack of volunteers. Hence, now more than ever, your donations are greatly appreciated, since they allow us to resume our function under these unforeseeable and dire circumstances.
We would like to thank each and every one of our donors for helping all this happen, year after year.

Strengthening JUNAX networks
This is how we walk...
The Junax project (our Community House) it is recognized as a safe and politicized space for the national and international community that identifies values and analyzes our work for the benefit of unprotected groups in society. Contributing with their knowledge and skills, alternative forms of decent life for the population.
The volunteers contribute their knowledge for the construction of a dignified life. Upon returning to their places of origin, they sensitize and sow the seed of consciousness in their community. Disseminating the importance of your cooperation, to continue paying and strengthening this path.
From this corner of the house, the daily actions that we know will bloom together with the participation of the Voluntarix are coordinated.
We take care of the relevance of the academic profile or of the skilled workforce, which contributes utility to the linked project. Keeping in force with the two specific objectives: liaison – linking of the volunteer, and the community house where they live during the permanence of their activities.
The work of the volunteers varies and is defined according to the different themes of social projects, education, health, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, food, agro ecology, environment, communication, community services (water, electricity, drainage) Children in street situations, gender and strengthening of groups, among others. Such as the moral commitment for everything we do, respect, solidarity and honesty, values that are the pillar in the philosophy of the project.
The social organizations with which we form the strengthening network are favored with the voluntary contribution, since the lack of financing is a constant for the achievement of their objectives.
The dynamics and times are specific in each organization, as well as activities to develop. Each project structure has a defined trajectory and many of the actions to carry out programmed by its annual plan of activities.
Sensitive volunteers in the project environment, who support, visualize and innovate ideas that strengthen the accompanying consummated, or be retaken by future volunteers.
They also learn from community life, their spirit of contribution and they sharing is accomplish. Thus eradicating indifference to various social needs, encouraging interest in the common good.
As an example, we have at home a national partner who, reflecting, stopped his activities, opting for the relevance of sharing his time and knowledge with vulnerable populations. (Teenagers who will soon determine their path, opening horizons of self-sufficiency.)
The solidarity of the colleagues of the University of Caen, France, approached Junax in order to be linked with the different organizations with which we collaborate, in this way their participation benefited the organization that integrates our network, “Angels of love ”, Which supports the population with different disabilities. The volunteers work in the care of small gardens for self-consumption and strengthen their economy with the harvest.
In the community of San Felipe Ecatepec, Chiapas, they accompanied the group of Mothers who annually prepare summer workshops where they share art with children and generate human values.
Thanks to donations (global giving and Junax community), the community house has eleven new mattresses, and there has been maintenance (repair and painting to the house) that in previous years had not been possible.
This is how the spaces are more comfortable and appropriate for everyone.
With the contributions that have made possible and significant, that Junax provides small scholarships to volunteers who without this support would not be possible their work and permanence, due to their lacking economies.
From Junax workshops and conversations.
In our weekly assemblies, issues of coexistence of the house, discussed, giving proposals for a better way to cohabit. Thus, the voluntarixs assume the commitment of unity in Junax.

the volunteer and guests express their opinion
and comment on their experience about
their activities.
In! Oye Compa! The themes we share with radio listeners are varied, social, political, health, migration, liberation theology, indigenous worldview, as well as contents of social projects that we accompany current international social-political events ...
