For the sixth year in a row, Safe Horizon’s Streetwork Project partnered with PVH to produce a series of fashion design workshops for homeless and runaway youth, culminating in a fashion show celebrating our community’s talent and creativity.
For four weeks leading up to the fashion show on November 1, Streetwork clients and volunteer designers were hard at work creating fashions inspired by the “Beauty of Transformation” theme. Looks inspired by butterflies, jellyfish, birds, and the cosmos took weeks to conceptualize, design, and sew. PVH provided materials and guided the first-time designers from inspiration boards to execution.
The fashion show also featured performances from Streetwork Project clients, including a powerful opening to the show: a rendition of "Proud Mary" performed by a talented Streetwork Project client.
Programs like our annual fashion show are essential in helping Streetwork Project clients build community and confidence, and are made possible by donors like you.
Thank you for your partnership in bringing our clients from crisis to confidence.
